Teenage Love-Real Or Fake?

When adults come to know that their teenager is in love they give a reaction that it is “puppy love”. They say that this type of love and relationships do not last for the lifetime. They try to tell their children to concentrate on studies and forget this “non sense”. But, is it really “puppy love”?
Many may say that there is a marriage statistics that not more than 2-3 % high school sweethearts get married and do not get divorced. So, is teenage love fake????
No….the sense of care and attachment is much more in teenager than in the adults. The relationship started in teenage lasts for many years as there is ultimate caring. The high school sweethearts first become friends, then best friends and then share the relationship of affection. Teenagers grow up with each other so they go through all good and bad phases of life together. Hence, they know each other very well.  How can a relation based on care, affection and understanding be fake??? Adults feel it is fake but, why? When their child says “I LOVE you Mom and Dad” then, they believe it. If a child can feel intense love for his/her parents can’t the same love be felt for a companion?
Actually there is also one statistic that says more than 70% of high school sweethearts marry each other that means teenage love is actually real!! But, why do they divorce?? Divorce does not indicate that the love was fake but it indicates people change! They fake love did not lead to divorce but the changes led them there. The real love lasted for so many years and thus the once high school sweethearts became married couple. But, still adults feel that teenagers don’t really understand the meaning of love. How can they forget that they too must have had some feeling called love during their teenage years?
As a person attains the age of puberty he/she also understands the intense feeling call loved and so for me, teenage love can’t be fake!!! In fact, it is the purest form of love!!!
